You can open your AutoBank card-based savings account at your nearest branch.
This is what you need to bring with you to open a savings account:
- Your passport
- A payslip less than two months old
- A letter from your employer
- Address details shown on a current utility bill, for example, an electricity account, which must be less than two months old
- Your residence or work permit if you are not a resident
- M50.00 or more to deposit in your new account.
If you are self-employed you will need to bring us any one of these forms of identification (in order of preference):
- Passport (compulsory for non-residents)
- A photograph on each of the documents you bring us. Temporary documents are not accepted
- Address details on a utility bill, for example, an electricity account that is less than two months old.
Plus, you must show us one of these:
- Validated company financials
- Business contracts
- Your latest tax return.
You will need to show us three months' bank statements from your previous bankers if you do not have any of the documents listed above. Please call or visit a Standard Lesotho Bank branch near you should you have any problems providing the required documents so we may come up with a solution for you.
